OLIVIA NKRAPAH, STAFF OF GEMA AND CEO OF AKUAMIMI PHOTOGRAPHY WINS "BEST STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR", AT UMB TERTIARY AWARDS 2020 - PRESENTS AWARD TO HON. MCE 

Olivia Nkrapah, an Environmental Health Officer (EHO), with the Environmental Health Unit of the Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), Abokobi, has been adjudged the "Best Student Photographer" at the UMB Tertiary Awards 2020. 

The awards, sponsored by the Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), seeks to recognize and award students at the tertiary level who outstandingly perform in various fields and careers while in school. 

Olivia was posted to the Ga East Municipal Assembly two months ago as part of the new officers recruited from the School of Hygiene into the Local Government Service. 

Having been nominated prior to the recruitment, Miss Olivia Nkrapah on Friday, 13th November, 2020, was declared winner of the "Best Student Photographer" category of the prestigious UMB Tertiary Awards. 

On Monday, 16th November, 2020, Olivia, led by her immediate boss, the Municipal Environmental Health Officer (MEHO), Charles Ampomah Asabre, and the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Okunyin Boaz Orlan-Hackman, paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah, to officially inform her and present the award to her. 

Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah was delighted about the feat chalked by her staff and congratulated her on behalf of the Assembly.

She encouraged her to give off her best and work in close collaboration with the Public Relations Unit to promote the Assembly. 

Olivia also called on the Presiding Member (PM), Hon. Jesse Nii Noi Anum, in his office to present the award. 

The Hon. PM, who is also a professional photographer, expressed joy at the award and encouraged her to work harder and in partnership with the PR Unit to enhance the promotion of the Assembly's activities.
