MCE VISITS CENTRES IN ABLORH ADJEI ELECTORAL AREA
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), Abokobi, Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah, has visited some Voters' Registration Centres in the Ablorh Adjei Electoral Area to inspect the ongoing process.
The Centres visited were the Ablorh Adjei Church of Pentecost, Parakou Presby Church 1, and Parakou Presby Church 2.
Her first point of call was the Ablorh Adjei Pentecost where 46 people had registered and issued with their Voter ID Cards as of the time the visit. The Officials indicated that they registered 118 and 34 on Sunday and Monday respectively.
Next was the Parakou Presby Church 1 where 41 people had registered and issued with their Voter ID Cards with 120 and 41 registered on the first two days of the exercise.
The Hon. MCE's final destination was the Parakou Presby Church 2 where 37 people had already registered and issued with their Voter ID Cards when she got there.
The Officials at the Centre told her that 129 and 37 has registered and issued with their Voter ID Cards when the exercise started on Sunday and Monday respectively.
Currently the Phase Three (3) of the Voters' Registration exercise is taking place in the Ablorh Adjei and Dome East Electoral Areas and will end on Friday, 17th July, 2020 with the Phase Four (4) expected to take place in the Agbogba and Atomic Electoral Areas from Sunday, 19th July to Friday, 24th July, 2020.
Meanwhile, Hon Janet Tulasi Mensah, on Friday, 10th July, 2020 visited six (6) Registration Centres in the Haatso Electoral Area, four (4) at the Haatso Calvary Presby Church and two (2) at Westland, as part of her routine tours of the Centres to acquaint herself with progress of the exercise and identify their challenges for redress.
