A brief ceremony has been held to swear in a new executive for the Ga East Chiefs' Association at the Ga East Municipal Assembly Conference Room, Abokobi.
The newly elected executive was sworn into office by the outgoing President and Ex-Officio Member, Hon. Samuel Nii Adjetey Mohenu.
The new executive body has Hon. Samuel Nii Annang Ofori, Chief of Papao, as the President, with Nii Manle Dzahaa I, Chief of Teiman, as the Vice President, Daniel Nii Apain Akoto, Sesemi Dzasetse, as Executive Secretary, Nii Awudu Kwei, Chief of Ayi-Mensah, the Treasurer, and Nii Lartey Sobbley, Elder of Boi, as the Financial Secretary.
Nii Kwao Oboabasa, Chief of Kwabenya, and Nii Amarh Sogbla IV, Chief of Haatso, are Trustees of the Association.
The President, Hon. Nii Annang Ofori, in his acceptance remarks, encouraged the Chiefs to establish a good working relationship with the Management and Staff of the Assembly in order to achieve a shared objective.
Hon. Samuel Nii Adjetey Mohenu, on behalf of the Chiefs, expressed their eagerness and willingness to work together with the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) to make her tenure of office a remarkable one.
He also thanked the Hon. MCE and Staff for honoring their invitation to witness the swearing-in of the executive.
The event was attended by Chiefs from the various communities within the Municipality, and witnessed by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Deborah Ampofo, Municipal Coordinating, Mr. Nii-Amarh Ashitey, and some Heads of Departments and Units.
