Upon assumption of duty following the retirement of Dr(Med) Mrs Charity Sarpong, Dr(Med) Akosua Agyeiwaa Owusu-Sarpong, the Greater Accra Regional Director of t Health Service has embarked on a familiarisation tour of all Health Directorates and various health facilities in all district of the Region.
Her train stopped in the Ga East Municipality on Friday November 24th 2023.
Her first stop was the Municipal capital where she was met by the Municipal Director of Health Service, Dr(Med) Mrs Selorm Kutsoati at the Health Directorate. She interacted with health staff and requested that staff work to improve customer care and quality off care given to the people they interact with.
She subsequently paid a courtesy call on the MCE, Ms Elizabeth Kaakie Mann and MCD, Mr Nii Amarh Ashitey at the Municipal Assembly. The MCE stated that the MDHS was working closely with her team and praised her for her hardworkand commitment to duty. The RDHS was elated by the very close working relationship between the Assembly and the MDHS. The MCE pledged to as a matter of urgency, complete office spaces to provide a permanent space for the Municipal Health Directorate.
She visited Taifa and Ga East Municipal Hospital
"I applaud you, Dr. Tuffour, and your team for the services being provided within limited infrastructure. However, I'd encourage you to check the administration of TD2+ and its corresponding data capture," she remarked in an interaction at the Taifa Polyclinic.
She was awe-inspired by the magnificence of the Ga East Municipal Hospital and its services after taking an excursion of the Facility.
She expressed her excitement with Dr. Ebenezer Oduro-Mensah and his team and their commendable service to the nation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Regional Director was accompanied by Ms Dorothy Amanor, PRO, Dr Stephen Adase, the Chief Pharmacist of the Region.
