Soka FC, a Division Three League team based in Sesemi in the Ga East Municipality, has praised the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Elizabeth Kaakie Mann, for her vision and commitment towards youth and sports development in the Municipality.
On Friday, 12th January, 2024, some members of the team, led by their Coach, Nii Armarh, called on the Hon. MCE at her office at Abokobi where they presented a customized jersey to her as a symbolic gesture in appreciation of her work in the youth and sports sector.
Coach Nii Armarh, handing over the jersey noted that a fortnight ago the Hon. MCE, at a short notice, graced a football match organized at Sesemi to rally the youth to support development in the area and for peaceful general elections this year.
He said they are awed by her love and support for the youth in the area and commitment towards their development, especially through sports.
Hon. Elizabeth Kaakie Mann, on her part, expressed gratitude for the honour and recognition done her by the football club and pledged to initiate more activities geared towards the development of sports to create job opportunities for the youth to facilitate their self development.
The team invited the Hon. MCE to their league match against FC Dortmund at the Abokobi Town Park on Sunday, 14th January, 2024 at 3pm.
