GA EAST MCE AND CEO OF COASTAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY INSPECT COMPLETED PROJECTS
GEMANEWS: Thursday, 11th November, 2021
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), Hon. Elizabeth Kaakie Mann, and Officials from the Coastal Development Authority (CODA) led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shaib, have inspected five (5) footbridges in the Municipality funded by the Authority.
The footbridges were among numerous projects the Assembly, under the previous administration, through the Member of Parliament MP for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, lobbied for in 2019.
Residents in the beneficiary communities had to walk long distances to enter adjourning ones because of the stream that cut them apart. Thus, the construction of the footbridges brought a huge relief to them.
The Hon. MCE, accompanied by the Municipal Urban Roads Engineer (MURE), Aboagye Foster, Municipal Works Engineer (MWE), Peter Bah-Lano and Deputy Director, Kenneth Daniels, together with the CODA CEO and his team, inspected the projects at Narhman-Haatso, Boyhe-Haatso, Musukoo, Taifa Bankyease Down and Dome Hamburg.
Hon. Elizabeth Kaakie Mann, having inherited the projects from her predecessor, has shown keen interest in constructing similar projects in other parts of the Municipality.
She therefore seized the opportunity to appeal to the CODA Boss to consider the Ga East Municipal Assembly for more projects from his outfit to help alleviate the plights of the residents in the affected communities.
