HON. KAAKIE MANN DONATES STREETLIGHT BULBS TO ASSEMBLY TO ENHANCE SECURITY AT THE OFFICE PREMISES
GEMANEWS: Monday, 25th October, 2021; Abokobi
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), Hon Elizabeth Kaakie Mann, has moved swiftly to address one of the pressing needs of the Municipal Guards in effectively policing the Assembly's premises as she donates five (5) streetlight bulbs following a complaint the Guards made about the poor state of lighting around the office.
The new MCE on her first official day at work last week Monday held three separate meetings with Staff in the morning, Heads of Departments and Units at noontime and the Municipal Guards in the late afternoon.
At the meeting with the Guards, they requested for streetlight to address the very poor lighting, especially at the back of the office premises, since it was making it difficult and risky to guard that part of the office in the night.
A week after, in response to their distress appeal, Hon. Kaakie Mann brought in 5 brand new streetlight bulbs, from her own resources, and presented them to the Assembly through the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Mrs. Vera Akuffo-Mante, and the Municipal Guards, represented by the Deputy Municipal Chief Guard, Chief Inspector Wilfred Gyan, in the presence of the Staff.
The MCD, on behalf of the Municipal Guards and the entire Assembly, expressed utmost gratitude to the Hon. MCE for the noble and wonderful gesture and impressed upon the Assembly Electrician to immediately install them.
The Staff, who were visibly awed by the initiative of the Hon. MCE commended her in spontaneous applause when she was handing over the bulbs to the MCD.
End.
