MCE HONOURED BY GEMA-NASPA WOMEN'S COMMISSION TO MARK MOTHER'S DAY EXERCISE
A delegation from the 2020/2021 Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA) National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) Women's Commission Committee has presented a citation to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Janet Tulasi Mensah, as a token of their appreciation and recognition of her motherly role in the Assembly.
The group made the presentation to mark Mother's Day Celebration, which fell on Sunday, 9th May, 2021. The event which is celebrated worldwide seeks to celebrate the endless sacrifices made by mothers.
Joined by some Heads of Departments, the delegation, which included the GEMA-NASPA Women's Commissioner, Miss Marbel Agbosu, and led by Mr. Williams K. K. Amankah, Head of Records, and Chaplain of the Association, called on the Hon. MCE at her Office at Abokobi on Monday, 10th May, 2021, and presented a beautiful citation.
The citation which revealed, in its truest sense, the motherly love shown by the Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah, towards all persons who come into contact with her.
She was besides herself with great joy at the gesture and entreated the personnel to also show motherly love to all who come their way and not necessarily children they have birthed.
The Municipal Chief Executive led the team to lock up some shops and forced the owners to desilt chocked gutters at their frontage.
Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah advised and encouraged them to always seek out the positive things within the Assembly and as well show utmost commitment towards becoming better versions of themselves when their time with the Assembly is spent.
